SUSTAINABILITY

We are committed to sustainability through a circular economy production process.

For this reason, a large portion of the raw materials we use comes from the recovery of tungsten carbide scrap. Our Scrap Processing Plant, the only one in Latin America, has an integrated quality and environmental management system, which was recertified in 2019 under the guidelines of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. SUSTAINABILITY

TANTAL has its own raw material manufacturing plant through the processing of tungsten carbide scrap.

This provides us with a double benefit: autonomy in the acquisition of imported raw materials to manufacture our products, ensuring on-time delivery; and a reduction in the use of tungsten ore, which is a non-renewable resource.

Circular Economy

Innovation in the technological development of the component separation production process allows us to obtain high-purity tungsten trioxide and cobalt powder. In this way, we recover raw materials from tungsten carbide scrap, that is, from previously used hard metal parts acquired from our clients and other users, which are then processed to extract their components.

Certified Raw Materials

We work only with suppliers who certify that the origin of the minerals used is free from armed conflicts and human rights abuses and who are included in the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) registry.

CONFLICT MINERALS

CONFLICT MINERALS POLICY STATEMENT

Our Conflict Minerals Policy includes:

Maintain
Maintain our policy of recovering and recycling hard metal scrap, promoting the circular economy of our products and reducing the use of minerals.

Adopt
Adopt the necessary measures to ensure that the material used in our industrial processes does not originate from conflict zones, by requesting conflict-free origin declarations and the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT) from our suppliers.

Work
Work only with suppliers who demonstrate that their product is Conflict-Free.
