CONFLICT MINERALS

CONFLICT MINERALS
POLICY STATEMENT

TANTAL is committed to the responsible sourcing of tungsten and to respecting human rights throughout its supply chain.

Currently, the tungsten used in our manufacturing processes is sourced 100% from recycled cemented carbide scrap, which is internally processed throughour tungsten recovery system.

OUR CONFLICT MINERALS POLICY INCLUDES:
  • Promoting circular economy principles by prioritizing the recovery and recycling of cemented carbide scrap and reducing the use of tungsten originating from primary mineral sources.
  • Maintaining traceability of the recycled material used as raw material in our manufacturing processes.
  • Assessing responsible sourcing risks and taking appropriate measures to prevent our raw materials from directly or indirectly contributing to armed conflict or human rights abuses.
  • Maintaining documented information regarding the origin of our recycled raw materials and responding to customer responsible-sourcing requirements through internationally recognized tools, including the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI) Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT)
