Specifically designed for applications where corrosive agents are present. Our CR hard metal grades are extremely resistant to both corrosion and wear and are optimally adapted to numerous applications. Developed for the manufacturing of molds and dies, whether for stamping, punching, forming, powder compaction, or precision cutting. Our grades enable the efficient production of high volumes of parts. Designed for use in environments where there is a risk of part oxidation during the production process in the oil and gas, food, metalworking, and woodworking industries.
Currently, we are the only manufacturer in Latin America of raw materials for this industry (Tungsten Carbide, Metallic Tungsten, Cobalt, and Tantalum Carbide) and the largest manufacturer of tungsten carbide parts in Latin America. With 65 years in the market, we have extensive international experience. For the past 30 years, we have exported over 50% of our production to Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, India, Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Italy, and Spain. Our export-oriented business approach has required the development and application of methods and processes that ensure quality and maintain competitive global pricing.
We maintain a Quality Management System certified under ISO 9001 and an Environmental Management System certified under ISO 14000. For the past 10 years, we have issued our Sustainability Report following GRI IV (Global Reporting Initiative) guidelines. Tantal specializes in manufacturing various components for the oil and gas industry. We have a complete laboratory for analysis and quality control, ensuring that our parts meet client specifications and allowing the development of new hard metal compositions for different applications.
