At Tantal, we have Isostatic Pressing Technology and Sinter HIP Technology for the sintering of tungsten carbide parts used as stamping dies, thus ensuring the absence of porosity.
We develop specific compositions for each application that enhance the performance of traditional grades.
Specifically designed for applications where corrosive agents are present. Our CR hard metal grades are extremely resistant to both corrosion and wear and are optimally adapted to numerous applications. Developed for the manufacturing of molds and dies, whether for stamping, punching, forming, powder compaction, or precision cutting. Our grades enable the efficient production of high volumes of parts. Designed for use in environments where there is a risk of part oxidation during the production process in the oil and gas, food, metalworking, and woodworking industries.
We work alongside our clients, jointly developing the geometry design of the semi-finished part to increase productivity in the finishing process, reducing costs and lead times.
We manufacture tungsten carbide blanks with a design as close as possible to the finished die, in order to optimize and minimize our clients’ machining costs.

The TG3 MICRO CR is specifically designed to enhance the performance of TG3 MICRO in applications where wire EDM is used for die shaping. Its formulation contains components that provide corrosion resistance, preventing the occurrence of micro-defects during the wire cutting process.
Grade tested with excellent results in pressing dies for powder metallurgy parts.
Tantal offers grades specifically designed for wire EDM cutting, with TH30B CR being suitable for the manufacturing of large tungsten carbide blocks used in the production of stamping and cutting dies. This grade features high resistance to corrosion caused by the dielectric fluid of the EDM machine.

For the past 30 years, we have exported over 50% of our production to Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, India, Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Italy, and Spain.
